YOGA PAKISTAN’S 2ND BIRTHDAY

The second birthday of Yoga Pakistan was celebrated at Ravi Siphon on 17th Apr 2011.

The place is beautiful and so is the way that goes along Lahore canal and BRB canal till it reaches Ravi. It is the spot where the river enters Pakistan from India and the canal that coming from Marala passes underneath the river and resurfaces again and so we enjoy not one but two water scenes.

But we had more enjoyment in store.
The outdoor Yoga session near the river bank was exhilarating as the river, the shady trees and the greenery all around appropriately connected us with nature. Ustad e Mohtaram Yogi Shamshad Haider urged us to listen to the chirping of birds, feel the flowing river, enjoy the song of nature and discover in ourselves the great potential bestowed by Almighty.

Yoga definitely produces lot of energy and lot peace as well and the group was now in a perfect state of relaxation to enjoy the melodious tunes coming from the guitar of Mr Rafiq Jaffer.

The Brunch was rejuvenating as the family that eats together stays together and then the merry moment came when we sang Happy Birthday for the two cherished years of Yoga Pakistan.

A stroll along the river delighted us with some stunning river scenes and the bird’s eye view of that beautiful spot from the top was  certainly the climax.

Boating off to the other bank of river was charming, it’s the side where the water rushes down and the BRB canal goes underground the rivers. Ice-cream at the river bank ended the beautiful day on a sweeter note.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOGA PAKISTAN
MAY YOU SPREAD PEACE AND HAPPINESS ALL AROUND

Yogi Wajahat visits Faiz Ghar Yoga

Yogi Wajahat is among the topmost Yoga teachers of Pakistan who is hosting a Yoga TV program on Indus TV since last many years. On Sunday 6th March 2011, Wajahat was the guest of honor at Faiz Ghar.
Yoga sessions at Faiz Ghar that are held every Sunday start at 10.30 am but they have an added attraction that is the melodious music and singing that precedes the session and sets a perfect mood for the start of Yoga. Wajahat was greeted with the song “Tu Pyar Ka Sagar Hay” and termed it as a beautiful welcome that he would never forget.
Wajahat said that he aims to achieve happiness and well being through Yoga and yearns to see people smiling.
The love for Yoga took him to various persons and places. He went to the Ashrams, Mandirs, temples and persons like Azeemi Sahib, Raees Amrohi and Prof Muiz and learnt much about various aspects of Yoga.
Wajahat paid rich tributes to Yogi Shamshad Haider and said that he would now be visiting Faiz Ghar frequently as there is something special with this place.
While talking about the evolution of Yoga he revealed that Yoga originated some 5000 years ago in Moenjodoro Sindh. An ancient seal with the picture of Yogis is the oldest historical record of Yoga. Patanjali did a great service to Yoga by documenting it at Multan. Pakistan should own its heritage and must feel proud of it for giving such a gift to the world.
He termed Faiz Ghar as a spiritual place where high order meditation and lots of good activity is going on and hoped that the aura of this group will grow and spread.
He surprised the audience by disclosing his age that was 52 years. He could comfortably claim it to be 40 or so. Remaining happy is perhaps the secret of his young looks as he surprised everyone by disclosing his age as 52. “I like smiling people. I will die smiling”.
Wajahat’s are a happy family comprising of a loving wife who is more a friend and two adoring daughters.
